The High School Academy is an outreach initiative of Bellevue University’s Center for American Vision and Values, designed to bring high school students into the conversation about American exceptionalism and the American future. Their success is inextricably linked to America’s success, and the Center for American Vision and Values feels that they should have a say in the discussion about America’s past, and our plan for the future.
The primary mission of The High School Academy is to engage and educate local and regional high school students, as well as home schoolers across the country, on the core principles, beliefs, and documents of America’s founding. Students will immerse themselves in the ideas, thinkers and compelling narratives that defined the American experience and continue to make America a destination for those who seek opportunity. They will be encouraged to discover their own history and narrate their own unique American Success Story as they learn how to put the characteristics of the American character to work in their schools, communities and futures.
The High School Academy conducts quarterly events on the Bellevue University campus featuring national leaders, celebrities and prominent individuals who are helping to shape the American vision for the future. These programs are designed specifically with the high school audience in mind. Events are webcast live and recorded for view on the Center for American Vision and Values website.
